Ultra Cool Ultra Violet (UCUV) is a relatively young company which rests on the shoulders of the illustritave Heather Greenman. When seeing the wonders of ultra violet sensitive ink, she knew there was an outlet for her creative sense. After gathering together many more Chicago artists, she compiled a line of sun-reactive shirts. Each design has its own tale and mark of its creator. She is ecstatic over the reception received at the Navy Pier store, but with the launch of this website, more designs are at the art lover's fingertips. Each month their artists are working on beloved ideas. It is amazing to see an illustration grow to fruition, but with these dyes, you enjoy not only the pen and ink drawing, but the full color piece as well. Truly remarkable.
Heather has since met and is soon to be wed to her printer, Jerome Voelske. As they travel the states for giftware shows, they look forward to opening franchises in many cities around the world to bring their vision to complete fruition.
